ITS ROACH DAY!!

 HI GUYS!!

You are probably wondering what the heck this title means but I would love to inform you that our apartment is infested with *drum role please* ROACHES! Our complex is hopefully coming to spray our apartmet so we don't have to hunt roaches when we get home every night! YUM! NOT!

Transfer news came out Sunday night and Sister Salinas and I are staying together in Livingston! HALLELUJAH! We are so excited that we get to stay together because the work here is going so well! Our sweet friend Jasmine got baptized on Saturday and it was the sweetest experience! At first, she was really nervous but once she stepped out of the font, her smile was from ear to ear. Light was RADIATING from her and she was the happiest I have ever seen her. You guys, that is what the gospel does. It makes us happy and it is as simple as that. Life is still hard sometimes but it is the light and accompainment of the Savior that makes everything okay. Sister Salinas and I sang a musical number and as a typical Henderson, I couldn't make it past the first verse without crying. Thank goodness for my companion and her incredible voice because I was just so happy that the tears kept flowing. This gospel is true. I love it with my whole heart!!

There have been so many incredible experiences but I will keep it to the best one of all! David, MMA cage fighter who is now in a large wheelchair is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. We taught him the Plan of Salvation a few weeks ago and it was just a refresher course so he is fully prepared to be baptized hopefully here soon! Stephen, his caretaker, normally does't sit in on our lessons. But, Stephen is one of the smartest people I have ever met and could probably recite the whole Bible front and back. As we were going through the lesson, he didn't leave. We had to stand on the porch because there wasn't a woman inside and it was absolutely freezing. #worthit! At the end, STEPHEN STARTED ASKING US QUESTIONS. You guys, that has never happened before. The miracle is, there wasn't a questions we weren't able to answer. Both Sister Salinas and I said things we didn't even know we knew and the words were just flowing. It was the coolest experience of my life and the Spirit is so real. He said he always wondered what the age of accountability is and because of the restored gospel, we were able to tell him the answer!! This next question struck a cord with him. He asked, "So if someone learns the gospel in the Spirit world they aren't able to be baptized because they don't have bodies. What then?" TEMPLES!!!!! You guys, one thing after another and it was so incredible! He said he thought he was gonna get us on that one but nope! This gospel is so real!!!

I love my mission you guys. It is so hard at times but it is also one of the happiest times of my life! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings TRUE happiness and there is nothing more than you could want in this world than that! Always pray to your Heavenly Father, He wants nothing more than to hear from you! I love you guys so much!!🤍
