Houston we got a problem!

Wow everyone! To say these last few weeks have been crazy would be such an understatement! So much has gone on so I'll try not to make a novel out of this email! Best highlights...3,2,1 GO!!!πŸš€

1. Jasmine got to go do baptisms for the dead less than a week after her baptism!!!! This was the coolest miracle to witness and it was THE most amazing day to be in the temple with her!!!!!! She was so happy and one of the Young Women leaders said, "I wish I could have taken a picture of your smile when you were coming out of the font." The Spirit is always present inside the temple but there was a special spirit there that day being with the youth and with Jasmine for her first time!!!☆♡
Her Spirit is so strong and I seriously feel so so blessed to know her!!!

2.We had to go rescue David!! Alright, this story is wild!!!! So we went over to help Annette clean the house because she was behind on a lot of things and we had a lesson with David at 7. We figured we would just have the lesson after we got done cleaning which was when David was planning on getting home. It was pitch black outside and David still wasn't home. We were getting worried so when we called him, he told us he was stuck on the side of the road and his chair had died. DIED!!!! Annette was trying to start up the lawnmower to pull him home (welcome to TexasπŸ‡¨πŸ‡±) so in the meantime, Sister Salinas and I took down blankets and jackets to him to warm him up. Someone showed up with a tow strap and a Harley but there was NO way that THAT was going to pull David home so we were then again, stuck. You guys, THREE State cops drove by us and didn't say anything...they just looked at us like we were crazy! We finally called our friend Vincent to come pull David home with his truck. After all this was said and done, it was way past curfew but David was home safe and sound!!! Never a dull moment!!!

3. Guess who has covid!! hahaha but no seriously I tested positive yesterday so we are going to be doing work inside! Saturday night I was SO SICK so I slept all day Sunday so we are on the mend! Sister Salinas and I want to see how many people we can message while we are in quarantine so I'll let you guys know the stats!! The Lord never sleeps nor slumbers which means His work doesn't either!

The second to last picture attached is a pretty amazing story that I found in my camera roll from who knows how long ago! I sure am glad to have technology because I had totally forgotten about it. This gospel is true. God speaks to his children today and He will always continue to. Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and forever." How true is this scripture! I am so grateful to have a knowledge of the restored gospel because it helps me know that Jesus Christ is never changing! The world will continue to change and things will shift around but the doctrine of the gospel will stay the same FOREVER! My mom send me an amazing email about covenants this week which ties right along with this. The promises we make to our Heavenly Father at baptism and in the temple are the same promises that man has always made. How cool is that! Strive to look on the promises you have made often and live them to the fullest! They have so much power and we can receive help in every aspect of our lives!

I pray for y'all continually and I hope you guys have an amazing week!!!
