David’s baptism!!!!
Hello everybody!!!🤍
I know it has been a little bit since I have written an email and I cannot wait to fill everyone in on everything! Transfers were today and I am staying here in Livingston for another 6 weeks! I found out I am training a new sister and she is so sweet!! Her name is Sister Mccray and she is from Snowflake Arizona! This area is starting to see miracles and there are some incredible things happening here! Let's get to the good stuff!!!
1. DAVID'S BAPTISM!!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!!!!! This was the most incredible experience of my entire life and it was the craziest day ever!!! Since David cannot support himself (being a quadraplegic) we had to call 6 Elders close to our area to come help out and the morning of two of them called in sick. There was a little bit of a panic since we are at the top of the mission away from everyone but two Elders stepped up and drove an hour and a half to help David's baptism happen!! David was suppose to be there at 1:30 pm and at 2, he still wasn't there! We were getting a little worried but a few minutes later, the trailer with his hoyer pulled up...but no David. Turns out, his van BROKE DOWN at the bottom of the hill. Of course it was driving just fine till it got so close to the house and then...broken. Luckily, the truck had a wench that could be used to pull the van so HAHA Satan! No stopping this baptism!!! Once this was all settled, this was the most incredible baptism I have ever witnessed. The Spirit there was indescribable and I wish I could have stayed in that moment forever. This was the happiest I have ever seen David and the tears were flowing! It was such a special moment and with the picture I've attached, the Elders and David were glowing. That picture has not been edited. Incredible!!!!
Tomorrow I hit 9 months of being a missionary and I have a question for everybody...where has time gone??? I have fallen in love with my mission and time really does fly by when you're having fun I guess! I have learned so so so much out here and it doesn't even seem real that this much time has gone by. You guys, this gospel is so true!!!!!! As I feel like I always say...it just makes sense. The fulness of this gospel has been restored. I just know it and the witness of the Spirit is true for everything!!
Sister Salinas and I actually had the opportunity to teach District Council this last week so I can officially say I've been a district leader on my mission. Can I say that?? Cool!!! We talked a lot about improving our teaching skills and this doesn't only applly to missionaries. We are going to have times where we are going to have to bear our testimonies to people and we need to always be ready! In D&C 84:85 it says, "Neither take ye thought beforehadn what ye shall say; but treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man." This rings true! We have the possibility and opportunity to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost with us always and I will forever be grateful for him! There have been so many instances where the words just come as I speak and I know that times like that can only happen with the guidance of the Holy Ghost. He is real and he is incredible. Cherish the gift of the Holy Ghost and make him your constant companion because he will help in EVERY aspect of your life!!!! I can promise you!!!🤍
I love all of you so so much and know that I pray for your safety and protection! Please take care of those around you because you will never regret lending a helping hand to those in need. We of course have our family family but everyone around us is our spiritual family. Take care of them and build them up as you would like to be. God loves each one of you and this gospel contains everything you will ever need to find true peace and joy!!!!!
