Hermana Tait, YSA and Atascoctia!
hey hey!!!!
I was debating whether or not to write an email this week but so much has happened these last few weeks!!!! let's get to it!!! plus my mom would be mad if I didn't hehe
First, I was transferred last week to Atascocita and my new companion is Hermana Tait! We actually lived together in Channelview and now we are companions! BEST DAY EVER! WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!! I ADORE her and I am SO EXCITED to he her companion!!!!! I have a new assignment in the mission where my companion and I are over ALL the sisters in the mission and it is so wild. like so wild. We work a lot with the APs and President and I feel like a chicken with my head cut off, especially this first week, but I am really excited to work with the sisters!!!!! There are so many of them that I don't know that well so I am so excited to be with them and serve around them!!!! As we have been working with some of them this first my heart has been so full and I have been able to feel the love Heavenly Father has for them!!!! precious souls đ€
Literally the first day we had to wake up at 4 in the morning to take the departing missionaries to the airport which was so sad but I look up to them so much!!! It was sad to see them go but I was also half asleep because it was so early sooooo hahahaahahah kidding but that 45 min nap we got after we came home hit different.đ€ I felt like a million bucks!!!!! We are over the YSA branch and that is way different than what I'm used to! There are about 25-30 people there at church on Sunday and I love them already! LIKE SO MUCH!!!!!! We had to speak in church yesterday and I felt the Spirit so strong being with them and I am so excited to work with them these next few months! As I was getting to know the members I got to talking to one of them and as we connected dots she said, "Oh yeah I went to a prom at Pocatello High School like two years ago." what the heck. this world is so small and it was insane. not surprised I made a connection to Pocatello! That's because it's the BEST PLACE EVAAAA!
Our friend Floyd was baptized last Sunday and it was such a sweet experience! His older brother is a less active member so it was a spiritual experience for him as well! They both looked SO happy and Floyd has been soaking everything in! I have loved being able to see the gospel change his life and I can't wait to see him in the temple! The gospel of Jesus Christ truly changes peoples lives and I cannot describe the blessing it has been to be able to witness it first hand with the people I've had the privilege to teach!!!
I can't really think of a lot of other things that have happened but before I left Spring we were finding a lot of success working with the less active members and finding people to teach on social media! It was a crazy last two weeks in Spring and it's even crazier here! I love being on the go go go all the time and there is no other way I would be able to do this work without Heavenly Father. I have been praying for lots of strength and energy and it is truly by divine power that Hermana Tait and I have been able to do everything we need to and travel everywhere without being absolutely wasted!!!!! God is a merciful God and He is there to help us accomplish the things he asks of us (1 Nephi 3:7)đ€
Anyways that's an update on my life and as usual, I am in love with my mission. I have been really reflecting who I have become this last week and like I said earlier in my email, the gospel of Jesus Christ has not only changed my friends but it has changed me. The mission is not easy and I am reminded of that every day but it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. God has been there with me every step of the way and I am so so so grateful for Him.
I hope everyone has a fantastic week and good luck to everyone who has recently started school! YOU CAN DO THIS đȘI love you all!!!!đ€đ♀️đ€đ€đ€đ„ł
