One year

Yes. You read the subject of the email right. ONE YEAR LATER. Who wants to go cry in a corner with me? I can't believe this is real yall because I feel like I got set apart yesterday. My first day in the MTC was last week and I got to Texas last month! Yeah right if only that was real! I am not who I was when I left and the only way I have been able to change is because of Jesus Christ. That's it. He is the light and life of the world and He should be our everything because we are everything to Him. I am not saying I am perfect because I am SO far from it. Progression and improvement is an eternal concept and I will forever be grateful for that!!! I LOVE my mission with all my heart and I can't wait to see what these last 6 months hold! I can't believe I went a whole transfer without sending a weekly email...sorry mom. Last transfer was amazing and I miss Sister Stirland with my whole heart but as usual, I got a new companion! I guess I am hard to work with or something...

Two emails close together!!! Look at this!! I told yall I would start doing better! A lot has happened lately so let's get into it!! But, I lowkey need to buy a clicker counter thingy because the amount of times I've sneezed in the last 3 days has to be some sort of record!!! THE POLLEN IS KILLING ME! 🤧 Oh well!  First off, I moved! I got transferred to Spring and I am an STL!!! My companion, Sister Stirland, is so hilarious and I am so excited to work in this area with her!!!! Small world because her aunt is my mom's cousin so we are distant cousins!! Wild!!! We already get along so well and we are so so so excited to help the sisters here!! We have the most incredible people we are teaching and I haven't met all of them yet!!! One couple we are teaching is so amazing and their names are Jodi and Leslie! They haven't been meeting with missionaries for too long but you would think they were members the first time you met them! They have such amazing questions and t...

Livingston is AMAZING!

hello everyone!!!! here I am! yes, still here but these weekly emails have turned more into monthly or transfer emails! I will try to be better at updating yall more because man so much has been going on and missionary work gets better and better!!! I am still here in Livingston and it is my third transfer here! Sadly, transfers are next week and there is a chance I could leave but if I stayed here there would be ZERO complaints!!!! I am training a new missionary and her name is Sister McCray! She is from Snowflake Arizona and she is so fun! New missionaries bring such a light into the mission and I am so grateful for the examples they are to ME!!!!  A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to take sweet Jasmine to the temple along with other recent converts and returning members!!! The font was busting at the seams and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed! Everyone dressed in white, the Spirit always present, and the work we were doing was just incredible. Th...

David’s baptism!!!!

Hello everybody!!!šŸ¤ I know it has been a little bit since I have written an email and I cannot wait to fill everyone in on everything! Transfers were today and I am staying here in Livingston for another 6 weeks! I found out I am training a new sister and she is so sweet!! Her name is Sister Mccray and she is from Snowflake Arizona! This area is starting to see miracles and there are some incredible things happening here! Let's get to the good stuff!!! 1. DAVID'S BAPTISM!!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!!!!! This was the most incredible experience of my entire life and it was the craziest day ever!!! Since David cannot support himself (being a quadraplegic) we had to call 6 Elders close to our area to come help out and the morning of two of them called in sick. There was a little bit of a panic since we are at the top of the mission away from everyone but two Elders stepped up and drove an hour and a half to help David's baptism happen!! David was suppose to be there  at 1:30 pm  an...

Houston we got a problem!

Wow everyone! To say these last few weeks have been crazy would be such an understatement! So much has gone on so I'll try not to make a novel out of this email! Best highlights...3,2,1 GO!!!šŸš€ 1. Jasmine got to go do baptisms for the dead less than a week after her baptism!!!! This was the coolest miracle to witness and it was THE most amazing day to be in the temple with her!!!!!! She was so happy and one of the Young Women leaders said, "I wish I could have taken a picture of your smile when you were coming out of the font." The Spirit is always present inside the temple but there was a special spirit there that day being with the youth and with Jasmine for her first time!!!☆♡ Her Spirit is so strong and I seriously feel so so blessed to know her!!! 2.We had to go rescue David!! Alright, this story is wild!!!! So we went over to help Annette clean the house because she was behind on a lot of things and we had a lesson with David at 7. We figured we would just have th...

ITS ROACH DAY!!

Image
HI GUYS!! You are probably wondering what the heck this title means but I would love to inform you that our apartment is infested with *drum role please* ROACHES! Our complex is hopefully coming to spray our apartmet so we don't have to hunt roaches when we get home every night! YUM! NOT! Transfer news came out  Sunday night  and Sister Salinas and I are staying together in Livingston! HALLELUJAH! We are so excited that we get to stay together because the work here is going so well! Our sweet friend Jasmine got baptized on Saturday and it was the sweetest experience! At first, she was really nervous but once she stepped out of the font, her smile was from ear to ear. Light was RADIATING from her and she was the happiest I have ever seen her. You guys, that is what the gospel does. It makes us happy and it is as simple as that. Life is still hard sometimes but it is the light and accompainment of the Savior that makes everything okay. Sister Salinas and I sang a musical ...

It’s 2022

HI EVERYBODY!šŸ¤ These last two weeks have been a wild ride that's for sure but the work is still moving forward! We have been in quarantine since Saturday and our last day is Wednesday so we are finding creative ways to contact and find! Here is a little update on the work here in Island Park...oh I mean Livingston🤪 David is SO awesome you guys! The last few lessons we have had with him are super super special and the Spirit is always super strong with him. We invited him to spiritually prepare himself for next time we come over and you guys...it made the WORLD of a difference. The TV wasn't on when we got there and the house was silent. David had the Spirit there before we even got there. It was that much stronger and it was an incredible feeling. There were tears from everyone as we were talking about the Restoration and how important it is. He is going through some really hard trials in his life and he said, "I just really hope they find Christ and get their lives on...
