Image
I know that's a corny line but I just had to say it but also because IT'S TRUE!!!!! Wow, my emotions are all over the place and I will look back on the experiences from my mission for the rest of my life!!! This is such a bittersweet moment but I am excited for the next part of my life, but I also L O V E  being a missionary, but also I wanna go snowbiking, but there is nothing like serving a mission and I want to stay forever....you feel me? I will be returning home from my mission   next Thursday   and my homecoming talk will be   Sunday January 1st at 11AM !!!!!šŸ’“ AHHHHHH !!!! These last few weeks have been absolutely incredible and I have seen God's hand more than I ever have before. Miracle upon miracle has been right in front of our eyes and we have found some absolutely incredible people who are so ready to receive the gospel. About two weeks ago, we met this lady who had been praying for a church and she literally wrote on her whiteboard in her house "...

We had transfers last week and I am now comps with.....drum roll please....SISTER LAKE!!!!!! HAHAHAHA AGAIN!!!!!! LET'S GOOOOOOO🄳🄳 🄳🄳🄳We were companions exactly one year ago and she gets to be my last companion and there are absolutely zero complaints! We are so so excited to be serving together again and she is one of the most intune people with the Spirit I have ever met. She is incredible and pushes me to be better!  The last two weeks of the transfer Hermana Tait and I were blitzing our hearts out and it was so fun!!!! For those who don't know, a blitz is where we switch companions with another companionship for a few hours and work in their area together! I don't know how many of those we did but it ...

wowowow miracles and amazing things happening here!!!! as always I am absolutely loving serving in the Lake Houston YSA and I love these people here with my whole heart. like my whole heart! we had such a Spirit filled fast and testimony meeting yesterday and we had three of our friends there to experience it with us! For our small branch, that is amazing and we are so excited to have them keep coming!!!! 😊 we have been able to work a lot with the sisters these last few weeks and they fill my cup. they bring me such joy and their passion and dedication to missionary work blows me away every day. God needs them here and I truly have been able to feel a small portion of the love He has for them! Hermana Tait and I have been doing some street contacting on the college campuses in our area and I have LOVED doing that!!!! people are so fun and I have loved approaching random people and talking with them about God! That's the thing about Texas...anyone will talk to you about God and tel...

Sister Henderson

Image
Дайн уу I am going to start a game with everyone on here! Each week I write an email I am going to say 'HELLO' in a different language and whoever can guess the language (WITHOUT GOOGLING IT) will win for the week! I am a poor missionary and 1,800 miles away from most of you so there aren't any prizes but you can buy yourself some ice cream if you win and just imagine I bought it for you! :'> We are about half way through the transfer right now and so much happened and we truly are seeing mircles here in the Lake Houston YSA Branch! This last week we had mission tour which is where Hermana Tait and I travel to the other side of the mission for the week and spend it with the sisters on the East side! This is a very bias comment but I am pretty sure we have the best sister missionaries..just sayin! Their testimonies of the Savior are incredible and even though they all have their own struggles, they are choosing to involve their Heavenly Father and push through with ...

HEY HEY HEY!!!!šŸ™Œ I am so sorry I realized it's been a whole transfer (6 weeks) since I've sent out an email!!!! I think it's only been about a week and then I check and it's been 6! I'll be better at updating yall for the last 12 weeks of my mission! I promise I'll be better!!!!! We found out transfer news  Sunday night and Hermana Tait and I get to stay together! YIPEEEEEEE!!! We are so so excited!!!!🄳 This transfer has been full of SO MUCH that I'm not sure I will be able to compose it all! It has been a transfer full of W O R K and I could not be more happy to be here on a mission and in this assignment! Being Ministering Sister has been the BEST ever and I adore every single sister missionary here. They have been teaching ME so many valuable lessons and they truly help me stay focused on what is truly important, and that is the Savior. We have been able to travel the mission and spend time with each companionship and it has been such a blessing and p...

Hermana Tait, YSA and Atascoctia!

Image
hey hey!!!!  I was debating whether or not to write an email this week but so much has happened these last few weeks!!!! let's get to it!!! plus my mom would be mad if I didn't hehe First, I was transferred last week to Atascocita and my new companion is Hermana Tait! We actually lived together in Channelview and now we are companions! BEST DAY EVER! WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!! I ADORE her and I am SO EXCITED to he her companion!!!!! I have a new assignment in the mission where my companion and I are over ALL the sisters in the mission and it is so wild. like so wild. We work a lot with the APs and President and I feel like a chicken with my head cut off, especially this first week, but I am really excited to work with the sisters!!!!! There are so many of them that I don't know that well so I am so excited to be with them and serve around them!!!! As we have been working with some of them this first my heart has been so full and I have been able to feel the love Heavenly Father ha...

"I'm still above the ground!"

hello everyone!!!šŸ‘‹šŸŒŠ so much has happened this transfer and I can't believe we are already on the last week of it! This time next week I could be staying another 6 weeks here or I could be getting moved! WHO KNOWS! I am excited to see where the Lord needs me and where I will end up!  This transfer has been an interesting one to say the least. It has been H A R D in so many different ways but we just put our heads down and kept on plowing through. We had to basically do a full 180 flip on the people we are currently teaching and there has been quite a bit of heartache there for sure but there have also been many miracles we have seen! I guess the hardest thing about serving a mission for me is loving people so much. I would have never thought it would have been but It takes one visit and I am so invested in their lives and their spiritual well being that when they don't accept the restored gospel my heart is sad. And it's all because I know the gospel can change their liv...

Heyyyyy everyone!!!! So pretty much everyone we talk to thinks my companion and I are between the ages 13 and 15 so do I take that as a compliment orrrr???? We die laughing every time we ask people how old they think we are. This one lady (who was wearing a badge saying she worked at  H-E-B for 15 years) said "Honey, I've been working here longer than you've been alive!" When I told her I will be 21 in November she about fell on the floor and she was SHOCKED!!! Priceless!🤣🤣🤣 Transfers are today and Sister Palfreyman and I are staying together in Spring for another 6 weeks!!! BEST DAY EVER !!!!! being her companion is seriously the best so we were so happy when we saw we get to stay together!!! The work here in Spring has been a little tricky with friends canceling, not answering us, or not keeping commitments so it's been a little hard but we push through right? We are praying really hard to find the people who are prepared here and we KNOW they're here so ...

One year

Image
Yes. You read the subject of the email right. ONE YEAR LATER. Who wants to go cry in a corner with me? I can't believe this is real yall because I feel like I got set apart yesterday. My first day in the MTC was last week and I got to Texas last month! Yeah right if only that was real! I am not who I was when I left and the only way I have been able to change is because of Jesus Christ. That's it. He is the light and life of the world and He should be our everything because we are everything to Him. I am not saying I am perfect because I am SO far from it. Progression and improvement is an eternal concept and I will forever be grateful for that!!! I LOVE my mission with all my heart and I can't wait to see what these last 6 months hold! I can't believe I went a whole transfer without sending a weekly email...sorry mom. Last transfer was amazing and I miss Sister Stirland with my whole heart but as usual, I got a new companion! I guess I am hard to work with or something...

Hello!

Two emails close together!!! Look at this!! I told yall I would start doing better! A lot has happened lately so let's get into it!! But, I lowkey need to buy a clicker counter thingy because the amount of times I've sneezed in the last 3 days has to be some sort of record!!! THE POLLEN IS KILLING ME! 🤧 Oh well!  First off, I moved! I got transferred to Spring and I am an STL!!! My companion, Sister Stirland, is so hilarious and I am so excited to work in this area with her!!!! Small world because her aunt is my mom's cousin so we are distant cousins!! Wild!!! We already get along so well and we are so so so excited to help the sisters here!! We have the most incredible people we are teaching and I haven't met all of them yet!!! One couple we are teaching is so amazing and their names are Jodi and Leslie! They haven't been meeting with missionaries for too long but you would think they were members the first time you met them! They have such amazing questions and t...

Livingston is AMAZING!

Image
hello everyone!!!! here I am! yes, still here but these weekly emails have turned more into monthly or transfer emails! I will try to be better at updating yall more because man so much has been going on and missionary work gets better and better!!! I am still here in Livingston and it is my third transfer here! Sadly, transfers are next week and there is a chance I could leave but if I stayed here there would be ZERO complaints!!!! I am training a new missionary and her name is Sister McCray! She is from Snowflake Arizona and she is so fun! New missionaries bring such a light into the mission and I am so grateful for the examples they are to ME!!!!  A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to take sweet Jasmine to the temple along with other recent converts and returning members!!! The font was busting at the seams and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed! Everyone dressed in white, the Spirit always present, and the work we were doing was just incredible. Th...

David’s baptism!!!!

Image
Hello everybody!!!šŸ¤ I know it has been a little bit since I have written an email and I cannot wait to fill everyone in on everything! Transfers were today and I am staying here in Livingston for another 6 weeks! I found out I am training a new sister and she is so sweet!! Her name is Sister Mccray and she is from Snowflake Arizona! This area is starting to see miracles and there are some incredible things happening here! Let's get to the good stuff!!! 1. DAVID'S BAPTISM!!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!!!!! This was the most incredible experience of my entire life and it was the craziest day ever!!! Since David cannot support himself (being a quadraplegic) we had to call 6 Elders close to our area to come help out and the morning of two of them called in sick. There was a little bit of a panic since we are at the top of the mission away from everyone but two Elders stepped up and drove an hour and a half to help David's baptism happen!! David was suppose to be there  at 1:30 pm  an...
